Seats
The majority of triple buggies start life as single pushchairs, but some can be converted to take a second seat or carrycot using adapters (these are typically more common in tandem buggies). Certain models let you add an additional board for older children who are able to walk, but require a little help.

Suspension
The suspension of a triple wheeled buggy will determine how easy your child/children and you can push it. It is essential to have a smooth ride, because babies can feel every bump that comes along the road. This is especially true if you are driving on rough terrain, such as grass or roads that aren't paved. Some models have front tires that lock to assist in maneuvering and getting over obstacles like curbs.
Certain models come with air-filled tyres which are ideal for all-terrain riding, however they are susceptible to punctures. Make sure you keep a spare set of tyres in your trunk. Certain models come with gel-filled or foam-filled tyres that are designed to cushion bumps. They can be less likely to puncture, however they might cause discomfort for your child if you decide to run.

Folding
A 3-wheel double buggy folds pretty neatly for storage. There are models that fold flat, stand up (as though they were in the shape of a pushchair) and also pop out to reveal a more umbrella-style folding, with a hand-operated break. The more wheels a buggy has, in general the more easy it will be to maneuver on rough terrain. This is especially true when the wheels are larger than average. This will provide you with more stability and make it less likely that your child will fall over or tip over.
